Flora Eco Stay

An architecture site facing a budget crunch was meant to stay within constraints, but the client was more interested in bold pops of colour to add vibrancy, providing us with an exciting opportunity to perform a "cosmetic makeover" of the entire space. With a strict focus on refurbishing, recycling, and upcycling, and a deadline of 1.5 months, the task seemed daunting. However, it was an attempt to create an eco-friendly stay just 15 minutes from the Lonavala main market—a challenging endeavor.

We aimed to introduce hierarchy into the space while addressing all existing conditions. Changes were suggested at the planning level to free up the space, making it look organized and uncluttered. Existing furniture was repurposed to enhance the functionality of the space and allow for free movement.

Existing lighting, complemented by a few additions, created the perfect setting for weekend getaway evenings. Local artisans were invited to showcase their skills on this large 1:1 live-size canvas. The 'Spiral Stage,' positioned at the center of an existing tree, transformed the previously unused backyard into a vibrant, people-centric hotspot. This area can host various multi-purpose activities such as private dinners, small gatherings, or even live singing nights.
