House With Minimal Day Light

Building Type : Residential,
Location : Ghatkopar, Mumba
Size : 750 Sqft.

Circumvented by neighbouring structures, this residence faces limited natural light. To address this, we adopted a strategic design approach aimed at seamlessly integrating the living room, passage, and kitchen to foster a sense of continuity and cohesion throughout the space. The kitchen, featuring pastel red accents and birchwood storage, flows smoothly into the monochromatic living room. The grey wall, which scoops out to accommodate the TV area and mandir in white, also conceals two hidden doors leading to the master bedroom. The spacious master bedroom is designed to accommodate both formal bedroom furniture and a sofa seating area during the day. This sofa conveniently converts into a separate bed for their son at night and is separated from the main area by a sliding door. Green accents on the study table and wardrobe serve as focal points, adding visual interest to the room.

The second bedroom, designed for their grandmother, exudes understated elegance with subtle wooden textures.
