Project Details
Unseen Within The Grid is a compact 650 sq.ft. home in Ghatkopar East, Mumbai, designed by carefully working within a builder-given plan. Instead of forcing major changes, the design uses subtle subtractions, smart insertions and clean alignments to make the apartment feel open, calm and personal. It stands as a refined example of Residential architecture in ghatkopar mumbai, where every detail has a purpose.
The entry is defined by spindle columns that create a soft threshold without blocking light or movement. In the living and dining area, a one-way cassette AC allows full-height curtains, giving the room a taller and more elegant feel. The dining corner is highlighted with an arched stucco ceiling and a built-in bench with hidden storage.
The living wall avoids a heavy TV console. Instead, a slim glass box and a small mandir niche create a light, layered composition. A fluted dado band runs across the space, adding rhythm and visually tying the common areas together.
The master bedroom follows a warm and restrained palette of champagne, taupe and soft brown tones. A wall-to-wall textured headboard visually widens the room, while rounded corners, brass details and fluted black glass wardrobes add depth without making the space feel crowded.
The kid’s bedroom is planned for flexibility. By day, it works as a study or lounge area; by night, a Murphy bed folds down to reveal a scalloped headboard in soft cream and aubergine tones. Storage stays hidden, and a floating desk keeps the floor area open.
With stucco walls, warm marble flooring, matte laminates, brass accents and fluted textures, the home feels cohesive and quietly detailed. The result is a compact residence that feels thoughtful, functional and easy to live in.
